It seems ridiculous that I'm writing you this email exactly 10 years after the adoption of two kittens from FosterCat, but I often think back and regret not sending you updates on McLovin (renamed Kalel) and McKenzie (renamed Chloe).  My name and address has also changed since the adoption paperwork from Pittsurgh, PA to Plymouth Meeting, PA.

I cannot begin to thank you enough for allowing me to adopt the two of them.  They have provided much joy and comfort over the last ten years of my life.  I never knew how much a pet could impact my life and I treasure every single memory I've shared with them.

It is with a deeply saddened heart, that I inform you that precious Kalel (McLovin) passed away in January after a second surgery in under 6 months for a diaphragmatic hernia.  The surgery was a success, but he was never able to come out of the oxygen cage.  After the surgery we discovered discovered fluid in his lungs and after a week in the ICU we had to say goodbye.  As ridiculous as his original name was, he always remained true to it.  He had the sweetest heart with never ending love.

Chloe (McKenzie) is still going strong and is also a sweetheart and a cuddle bug, but on her terms only.  Typically at night when you're already in bed so that she knows you won't try to pick her up and hold her.  She's had a few medical issues over the years, but nothing that we haven't been able to take care of.

I've attached some photos from when they were kittens and then a few more recent ones. You can also find Chloe and her new housemate on Instagram @petnelli.

Thank you so much for all that you do.
