To my "little girl cat"

Your fluffy fur
So soft to pet
A rumbling purr
From the day we met

Looking through golden eyes
From your place in our home
You talked loudly with your cries
So I never felt alone

Arriving home a tired mess
You greeted me upside down
Releasing me from my stress
With belly pets abound

Fighting hard for a year
'til your body had enough
It broke my heart as time grew near
For you not waking up.
